Gallons in My Pond

How Many Gallons Is My Pond

  • To calculate gallons in pond

    Take your length x width x average depth x 7.5 = gallons

If you have rocked in the sides and bottom of your pond, take out an additional 20% (.8).

    Example: 8 (L) x 6 (W) x 3 (D) x 7.5 = 1080 gallons

    For rocked in ponds: 1080 x .8 = 864 gallons

    If your pond is circular:
    Take your length x width x average depth x 5.9 = gallons

On this calculation, your length and width should be the same.

If you have rocked in the sides and bottom of your pond, take out an additional 20% (.8).

    Example: 5 x 5 x 3 x 5.9 = 442 gallons

If you have rocks in the pond take your gallons and multiply them by .8 for more accurate gallons in your pond.

    442 x .8 = 353 gallons
